Not What I’d Hoped
I’m running it on a late 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display under Mavericks.
Pros:
-Does a good job of finding duplicates
-User can specify how similar photos must be to be considered duplicates
-Fairly easy to use
Cons:
-If there are more than about 1200 photos in a given session, it freezes my MacBook Pro. I have to power down and start up again.
-In the “View all groups of images” view, filenames and file sizes are not displayed and are not available by mouse-over. That info is available in other views, but you must return to the “View all groups” view to navigate to another group. This back and forth navigation is tedious and time-consuming.
-You can sort groups of duplicates by filename or by file size but not by both. Some of my duplicates have the same filename but are different sizes; others are the same size but have different filenames. This app would be much more useful to me if I could sort by filename within file size and vice versa.
Bottom Line: I’ve uninstalled it. I got it when it was offered for free and am glad I did not pay for it.
